Former Miami Hurricanes Football Player in Critical Condition after Car Crash

A former University of Miami football star was reportedly in critical condition after his car crashed into a truck in Miami Beach Tuesday morning.

According to recent news reports, the driver identified as Jojo Nicolas was driving a grey Lexus when it slammed into the back of a semi-truck along a Miami Beach highway.

As a result, the former defensive back’s car was wedged underneath the truck. Rescuers had to remove him from his car subsequently transporting him to a nearby hospital.

Nicolas was initially listed in critical condition but was later upgraded to stable condition. 

Meanwhile, based on initial investigation, Nicolas tweeted Monday night that he was about to attend a party at a Miami Beach nightclub.

Nevertheless, investigators claimed that alcohol has not been ruled out as a factor of the incident.

For four years since 2007, Nicolas played for the Hurricanes until he signed with the New York Giant as a rookie free agent in 2012.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

As we all know, trucks and buses have their respective blind spots. Thus, whenever we encounter said giant vehicles in the roadways, being extra careful and attentive behind the when is strictly required in order to avoid such kind of ordeal.
