A week after news about Chris Brown’s fender-bender accident broke out several media sources have confirmed that the R&B singer is now being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in connection to the said incident.

According to recent news reports, the LAPD is now conducting a follow-up investigation after the singer allegedly refused to give the female driver involved in his May 21 hit-and-run crash his driver’s license. In addition, he also gave the woman incorrect insurance information. In fact, he even exhibited an attitude when the woman pressed him for his ID before refusing to give his driver’s license.

It could be remembered that more than a week ago, Brown and his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran was caught in LA crash. Previous reports have it that Brown rear-ended a female driving a Mercedes Benz. No one was hurt from the incident, but the other car incurred minimal damage.

Unfortunately for Brown, the fact that he might have missed is that he is still under probation for allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend, pop singer, Rihanna. Therefore, if the authorities find a probable cause to believe that he broke the law by leaving the accident scene without fully giving details as required by law, it could possibly land him in prison.

What could have been a simple rear-end car crash last week is now a full-blast hit-and-run investigation commented by a Los Angeles automobile accident attorney.

Under the law, the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting to injury or damage to property shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall provide his or her personal information including name, address and the vehicle’s registration number. Also, the driver shall inform any traffic or police officer at the scene about the incident. Apparently, the above-said orders were not fully accomplished by the singer.
