Woman in Wheelchair Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver

Slowing down on marked crosswalks and following the traffic lights will further ensure you of a hassle-free driving. Yielding to these traffic signs will also prevent pedestrian accidents that are known to take many lives yearly.

A 46-year-old woman on her wheelchair was recently killed after she was hit by a vehicle in a marked crosswalk at Union Avenue. The woman was brought to a hospital but she succumbed to her injuries a few hours later.

Authorities are yet to find the driver who tried to escape his responsibility and continued on his way even if the woman lay injured on the road.

The family can file a wrongful death lawsuit once the driver has been apprehended so that they may recover the damages that resulted from their loss. It would not compensate their anguish over the death of their loved one but it should somehow help them cope with the financial problems they may encounter after the victim’s death.
