Two dogs were believed to be responsible for the injuries sustained by a 71-year-old woman and a middle-aged man while they were at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco recently.
Authorities responded to the call and aided the two who were eventually brought to San Francisco General Hospital. They later caught the female dog near Lloyd Lake while the male dog was shot in the face and was taken to a local veterinary clinic.
The dogs are in the custody of San Francisco Animal Care and Control as the owner is yet to claim them. If the dog remains unclaimed, the department will have to make a decision as to what will be done to them.
Owners must never let their dogs wander off as unfortunate incidents like this could happen. They have the responsibility to keep their pets safe and to make sure that they will not hurt anyone.
