Authorities Looking to Identify Route 67 Fatal Pedestrian Accident Victim

Authorities are currently trying to identify the victim of a fatal pedestrian accident on State Route 67 near Bradley Avenue.

The victim was described as a male, probably between 25 and 30 years old.

According to reports, the pedestrian accident occurred at about 3:30 am, Sunday when the victim was struck by a Nissan Murano in the southbound lane of the highway.

The victim was then thrown onto the northbound lanes by the collision where he was struck several more vehicles.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Once the victim is identified, his family can explore the option of making a wrongful death claim with the car accident insurance provider of the Nissan Murano driver.

However, the amount that will be received by the family will also depend on the circumstances surrounding the pedestrian accident.

Questions will be raised on the victim’s own negligence as a contributing factor to the collision.

Various details including where the victim was walking and if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time will be asked as well.

That is why it is important that the family consult with a wrongful death attorney to help them in the case.

A wrongful death attorney should be able to guide the family through the claims process and protect them from making harmful statements when talking to the insurance adjuster.

If the claim is not resolved, the wrongful death attorney can help the family file a lawsuit and represent them in a jury trial that will decide the level of coverage the insurance company should provide.
