Usher’s Stepson Declared Brain Dead after Sustaining Head Injury from Jet Ski Accident

Usher is reportedly distressed after his 11-year-old stepson, Kile Glover, from his estranged wife Tameka Foster, was declared brain dead following a jet ski accident last Saturday.

Kile is currently in an Atlanta hospital after he was struck in the head by a 38-year-old man while he and a 15-year-old companion were being pulled along in an inner tube by a speed boat in Lake Lanier.

The young boy was unresponsive since he was taken out of the water until present, according to authorities. Apparently, the boy’s head injury was severe and life threatening.

Since Kile was admitted to the hospital, no brain activity has been observed from the young boy, which prompted doctors to declare that Kile is brain dead. Nevertheless, the family of the young boy was said to be yet undecided whether or not to take off the life support from him.

Kile’s mother, Tameka was out of town when the accident happened. Therefore, Usher had to charter a plane for Tameka just to bring the boy’s mother at his side.

Celebrity news report said that despite the bitter divorce that Usher and Tameka went through, as well as their custody battle over their two kids, Usher V and Naviyd, Usher had maintained his close relationship with Kile.

For Usher, Kile has nothing to do with his situation with Tameka, according to a reliable source.  Usher loves the boy too much; therefore, the singer is now torn up.

Usher and Tameka were married in 2009 and after a couple of years, they both decided to part ways. Nevertheless, Usher still arrived at the hospital to comfort his estranged wife and definitely to see Kile as well. Usher raised Kile like his own son during their time of marriage.

Any injury caused to the brain and head will definitely be disastrous. A brain or head injury might cause paralysis or in worst cases, death. Victims of such head injury caused by the negligence of someone who in one way or another has been careless or unmindful are entitled to make a demand and file for a claim, said a Los Angeles injury attorney.

Alarming Number of Head Injury Cases from Bumbo Baby Seats in Infants

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is urging parents to never leave infants unattended in a Bumbo baby seat. Placing the same in uncertain places like countertops and other raised surfaces may also cause accidents to infants.

Statistics shows that infants aged from 3 to 10 months old have fallen out of the Bumbo baby seat and suffered serious head injuries.

Bumbo baby seats are created to help infants to sit in an upright position as soon as they can b support their head. However, a 3-month-old infant can easily fall or escape from the said baby seat through leaning backward, sideways and worst - when the baby gets excited or upset and rocked the seat.

Despite the product recall and safety precautions done by the CPSC and Bumbo International Trust of South Africa, the numbers of head injuries arising from Bumbo seat falls significantly increased to 14 from 46.

The CPSC and the Bumbo International Trust of South Africa after being alarmed by the growing number of head injures caused by the Bumbo baby seat, is encouraging parents to follow strict product warnings for the safety of their children.

Since 2003, about 3.85 million Bumbo seats have been sold in US. Therefore, the CPSC had seen a huge possibility of receiving more reports of head injury incidents resulting from Bumbo baby seat fall.

If an infant suffered from an unpleasant accident caused by the negligence of other people or more particularly failed to comply with the proper safety standards, parents have the right to demand and file for a personal injury claim. However, it is still best to take safety precautions than seeing children get hurt.

Athletes Dealing with Personal Injury Accidents

Sports is fun and it keeps a person healthy. However it also poses risks to people, especially athletes who are often exposed to these risks when they encounter accidents during play.

In San Jose, a football player suffered a head injury during a game between his team and their school rival. He collapsed on the sideline. His skull was fractured and went under surgery in Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. He was at the ICU recuperating from the injury he sustained. It was horrible for his parents to see their son suffer such terrible ordeal. They never expected this to happen to their son.

Head injuries are often traumatic and devastating injuries which automatically disable victims His future changes dramatically because he will not be able to do things or activities he usually do nor will he not be able to work anymore and continue earning money.

People have to be careful when they are playing sports because accidents can happen anytime. It would be very expensive to pay for the medicines, emotional trauma and wages lost if he gets into an accident. When someone is responsible for the personal injury, he has to pay for all the damages of the victim. They may file a claim against the negligent party.

The victim may hire a lawyer who will be able to help him with the case to claim for damages. A good lawyer has to have a record of winning cases that are similar to the one that will be filed by the victim.
