Soldier Denies All Allegations over His Ex-Wife and Mother-in-Law’s Wrongful Death

A Fort Campbell soldier who has been formally accused of killing his ex-wife and his mother-in-law denies all the allegations against him in the wrongful death claim filed by his brother-in-law and his two children and is now asking the court for the dismissal of his case.

Brent Burke claimed that he did not kill his ex-wife - Tracy Burke and its mother – Karen Comer.

In 2007, Burke has been charged with criminal case in the fatal shooting of his estranged wife and his mother-in-law at the Comer’s residence in Rineyville, Kentucky and have spent four years in jail.

The Hardin Prosecutor brought the case to a jury twice and both trials ended without a proper and complete verdict. After the last trial attempt, the Army filed charges against him in the murders and court-martial is set to start in February.

The case that was filed by Burke’s brother-in-law in behalf of his two children and the lawsuit is seeking for compensation which is to yet to be determined by a jury.

However, under the Commonwealth of Kentucky, a child is not allowed to bring a civil lawsuit against a parent. Therefore, Burke sees this as a complete defense and an absolute reason for his motion to dismiss the wrongful death claim filed against him.

In such manner, Burke’s brother-in-law and two children should have the best lawyer in town like a Los Angeles injury lawyer which is very much proficient with regards to all types of wrongful death claims.

At present, Burke is detained at the Christian County jail without bond.
