When police officers spotted a vehicle going the wrong way on I-5 near H Street, efforts to stop him was futile. The driver, David Garcia fled at a high speed. A chase followed then the predictable happened. His car crashed into a residence. Though none was injured among the residents, the crashed left a considerable damage to it and three other vehicles.
Expectedly, he sustained injuries which were treated immediately. Due to the incident, Garcia faced multiple charges such as DUI, reckless driving and failure to obey law enforcement.
Ironically, he was on probation for a previous DUI case when the incident happened.
With this development, authorities should think twice of granting him probation. It seemed he had not learned his lesson well.
